Akela's Wing Walk
On 3rd July 2026, our Cub Leader, Chris (Akela), at the grand age of 75, undertook a Wing Walk atop a biplane at Headcorn Aerodrome.
He managed to raise over £1,000 to buy essential camp equipment for the 11th Gillingham Scout group. This will go towards solar panels, a power pack, lighting, and a large capacity portable fridge freezer. All this will help us to safely store food, to help keep our sections or group well-fed, in an environmentally-friendly way!
