Looking for a place where your child can build confidence, learn incredible skills, and have the time of their life? Welcome to Beavers!

Whether they are dreaming of exploring the wilderness or just want to make brilliant new friends, Beavers is the perfect place for children aged 6 to 8 to start their journey.

Here is what awaits them:

  • Collect awesome badges: From mastering first aid and whipping up campfire snacks to building space rockets and taking amazing photos, your child will learn real-world skills and earn the badges to prove it!
  • Explore the great outdoors: Say goodbye to screens and hello to nature! We take the fun outside with epic games, nature trails, and for many, their very first thrilling night away on a group sleepover or camping trip.
  • Become a Local Hero: Guided by the Beaver Scout Promise, your child will discover the power of teamwork. They will build character, learn kindness, and help make a real, positive difference in your local community.
  • Make lifelong friends: Every week our is packed with wild games, creative crafts, and non-stop fun. It is the ultimate environment to boost self-esteem, burn off energy, and make fantastic new friends outside the school gates.

On the main Scouts website, you can find out about Beavers awards and activity badges, as well as the uniform and badge placement.

Here at 11th Gillingham, our Beaver Colony meets every Tuesday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm during term time.  If you would like to book a place for your child please go to the Contact Us page and fill out the form - the Group Scout Leader will get in contact with you shortly.
