Group Trustee Board
Our Scout Group is overseen by a Scout Trustee Board, which is a group of volunteers responsible for making sure the group is run safely, legally, and effectively as a charity. At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance. Effective Trustee Board governance helps our operational volunteers deliver fantastic programmes that give young people skills for life.
What our Trustee Board does
Our Trustee Board helps our Scout Group to:
- Manage money well - they ensure the Group has enough money for now and in the future
- Follow Scouts policies and relevant legislation
- Look after buildings, insurance, and property
- Manage risks - using a risk register to ensure the right mitigations are put in place
- Help the charity to operate well today, and in the future.

Annual General Meetings
